DURABLE POWERS OF ATTORNEY

"Durable Powers of Attorney are necessary tools for every Elder Law estate plan."

The New York Durable Powers of Attorney and New York Statutory Gifts Rider are documents that allow you to name one or more people to act on your behalf regarding financial decision-making such as bank transactions, check signing or applying for disability. They must be signed before you become physically disabled or mentally incapacitated.

Elder Law Attorneys take the basic Powers of Attorney form and expand it to include a variety of powers that ensure all your financial needs can be properly addressed by a person or persons chosen by you.

The laws in New York State regarding Powers of Attorney have changed rapidly. We can prepare new documents for you or review your documents to ensure they will still meet your needs.
